A Week In Our Dreamland!
Over the last few decades, the Methow Valley has earned a reputation as a recreational utopia of sorts, with its endless trails, stunning beauty, old-west charm and a "neighbourhood" of boundless wilderness...The Methow essentially becomes an island when Hwy 20 closes for the winter, and when the tide of winter creeps down the hillsides each year, a remarkable little corner of the state comes to life. So what drew us to make the Methow pilgrimage this year? Well, two things. World Class Skiing The Methow Valley cross country ski trail system, considered the largest winter trail system in North America, offers over 120 miles of cross-country ski terrain, all connected by the Methow Community Trail that runs from Winthrop to Mazama. As most of you know I love cross country skiing. It's what we did back home all winter long since I was 5 years old.
