On June 15, Eli turned 5! It has been wonderful 5 years to love, train and nourish our first child. He is the joy of our life and we love him so much.

When Eli told he would like to have a Race Car themed birthday party I thought to myself, “Commercialized theme parties are hard to pull off without looking,…um,…commercialized.” Boy was I wrong! Just wait until you see this creative event.
We decided to make race cars out of simple cardboard boxes. Tim cut them out and me and the kids spray painted them and decorated them. I cannot say how much fun we had making them!

Tim brought real contruction cones from work to set up a race track...

A five layer coconut cake with cream cheese, white chocolate and dark chocolate frosting. The race car is edible too! Every bite was worth the five hours of labor! So much fun! I love my boy!
