Bittersweet January

It was wonderful to have Tim home the whole month of January and spent most of our vacation time rubbing, scrubbing and dolling up our house which we put on the market to sell. While picking up the perfect toilet seats in Home Depot might not sound like an ideal romantic vacation to you we were very thankful that we were together wherever it might be. We spent way too many days apart last year!

Oh, yeah! Did I tell you we are moving?
It's not Vancouver and no it's not Pasadena.
We are moving to Oahu, Hawaii!
WOW!!! Are you all shocked? So are we!

Yes, we lived there. Yes, it was not our preference to go back. But that does not change the fact that the Clark Fam 5 will add to the population  to the most isolated and most populated island in the world.

How are we handling it?
In a few words:
praise the Lord! bittersweet. great is His faithfulness.crazy.shocking. kids excited.

We are saying good bye to and will be missing:
our dear friends
much shorter flight/drive home
our garden and our house where Lucie was born
great neighbors
skiing and hiking at Mount Baker
 forest, hills and meadows
mountain biking at Galbraith
fairs, parades and berries
nutrient dense food
raw milk
rain  (did I really say that?)
and much more

We are saying hello and looking forward to:
sun, sun and more sun
beaches
some mountain biking
wild pig hunting
learning about the islands
reuniting with old friends
purple sweet potatoes
macadamia nuts
exotic fruits

Picture this: family of 5, four pieces of luggage, three car seats and two massive coolers with our frozen meat. Hawaii here we come!
The rest will float on the waters to our new home.
Will keep you posted on our adventures!
