The Joys of Summer

We love summer! The kids spend a lot of time outside running in sprinklers, chasing each other, jumping in a pool...so much fun! 






July 1st was  Canada Day and Tim had a day off. We decided to go camping to Lake Wanachee and visit our good friends Dustin and Nicole. It was so nice to see them again and the kids had a lot of fun playing together. It was REALLY hot! We took just a short walk and then cooled off at the lake. The lake is really cold but it felt so good to jump in! The kids had fun too!



 Nicole is expecting another boy in October! Looking great, mama!




Camping is our favorite summer activity. We finally decided to dump our old, moldy, leaky, small tent and purchased this luxurious 6 person tent. It has two separate rooms and enough room for 5 more kids! Tim and I also got sleeping pads and it was the first time that we actually slept on a camping trip! So great!

 And absolutely love this little bundle of joy! 
 On the way back we stopped for a little hike at the Wallace State Park and hiked up to a nice waterfall. It was 95 degrees! as you can see in the pics we were HOT! Sofia did the whole hike with a great attitude and on the way back she said;" I will definitely have three scoop of ice cream today!" And so she did. Well deserved!



 The view was well worth the effort! And the water offered a nice cool breeze!

Welcome Charlotte Joy!

 One one the last pregnancy shots (I have two) before our baby girl was born. 39 weeks and 5 days. It was a beautiful home birth and we praise the Lord for another healthy baby girl! The Birthday Boy!

Eli turned 9! It is hard to believe! We had a small family celebration with a very berry summer cake and some go cart races! He got a remote control car, a multi tool set and  a set of golf clubs. Tim needed a golf buddy so it worked out perfectly! Happy Birthday, Eli!
