Still Some Summer Fun

We are back. So much to talk about and not enough time! I will make it short and sweet then! This is our Baker Lake camping trip on a not so summer weekend.




Dispite the flat tire, wet fire wood, rain, mosquitos and kids long pants left at home, we had FUN!

You hug your husband very tight at Paris' Airport. And while he flies back to the USA, you take your children home to the Czech Republic to visit babi and deda, cousins and family and everything feels okay because your God is bigger than your fears and worries and you are covered with faithful prayers of your family and friends.   And the things you do at home are awesome. It's a ....

GIRL!!! By the will a nd grace of God Lucie Grace Clark was born at home on April 22 at 2.40 am. She weighted 8 lbs 6 oz and was 21 1/2 inch long. Beautiful and healthy as can be! Praise the Lord with us as we wouldn't be able to do it without His mercy and faithfulness! And without all the prayers of family and friends! I cannot even tell how much we love this little bundle of joy! God's design is so perfect and we are so thankful for having Lucie in our lives! Lucie Grace Clark se narodila doma 22. dubna o půl třetí ráno. Vážila 3800 g a měřila 54 cm. Porod byl rychlý a bez problémů. Díky Bohu a modlitbám rodiny a přátel. Lucinka je krásná a zdravá! Europe Trip - Part One

We were able to go and visit my family in the Czech Republic this year and took our little Lucie so that she could meet her extended family.  Here she is with my dad.  And with her aunt Marketa. And with my brother Roman. The next day after we arrived we drove to the Slovak Republic for a one week of vacation with my parents. It was a 7 hour drive through a nice countryside with castles and rolling hills with grazing cattle. The weather was really nice. We rented a cabin near the town Bardejov in a picturesque Carpathian valley in the Low Beskydy Mts.  It was a lovely little place with a clay stove to warm us up. The kiddos loved the big yard with fruit trees. We visited Bardejov Town with a rich history and beautiful town square. As early as 1950's the historical centre was declared an Urban Heritage Reservation and today it is places on the List of World Cultural and Natural Heritage.
