Happy Birthday, Sofia!

Sofia is turning 8! She wished for a Western Style Birthday Party. When your in-laws own a nice property with a few horses, it sounds like a great idea. But there is a catch. We live in Hawaii and their ranch is in Montana.

With a help from Press Print Party I started right away.

The pink and brown was

a perfect theme for our sweet little cowgirl. I threw in some blue here and there, too for a couple of cowboys.

Yeehaaawww… yum yum… it’s Cowboy Cookies. Or, in this case, Cowgirl Cookies!

I saw this at bakerella.com and absolutely loved the idea for a party favor! Each girl could take home one jar and bake cookies.

Sušenky ve sklenici pro "cowgirls" mi přišel jako skvělý nápad. Každá si vzala jednu domu jako dárek za účast. Ve sklenici byly tradiční ingredience : mouka, ovesné vločky, čokoláda, růžové a bílé lentilky a oříšky.

Malá Šarlotka ochutnává máslový krém!

I love the idea of these placemats with a name of each girl on it and of course, the birthday theme. The girls can take them home and decorate if they wish.

The cowgirls and cowboys made horses out of paper, for the mane we used yarn. It was fun!

Děti si mohly vyrobit koně z papíru, na hřívu použily vlnu a koně jsme nakonec připevnily na tyčku.

We also took silly photo booth pictures with western props. We had enough moustaches to go around.

A nechybělo ani společné foto z divokého západu. Ty kníry byly nejlepší!

After the silliness the kids rode off to play some games! But first they tied up their horses.

Poté děti osedlaly koně a odcválaly na hry.

After the games it was CUPCAKE TIME!

Having the cupcakes instead of a traditional cake was so practical and festive that I will absolutely repeat that idea. No messy cutting of the cake, no waiting for your turn to get a slice, everybody gets their own choice of flavor combination. What a deal!

I used licorice for the bridal and eyelashes.

A konečně dort! Tentokrát jsem udělala dva druky dortíčků. Čokoládové s hořkou čokoládou a čokoládovým krémem a vanilkové s vanilkovým krémem a javorovým sirupem. Poskládala jsem je do tvaru koně. Uzda a řasy byly z pendreku.
