We find this island filled with good hiking trails. Who'd have thought an abandoned highway filled with the traffic noise of its newer replacement road below could make such a pleasant hike? Pali Trail & Likeke Falls (4 mi round trip) And better yet, when you ventured off through a world of old graffiti and trash that you'd be rewarded with a pretty jungly waterfall? A little rough at spots - we needed to hop down under the highway. .... and swing on tree branches to get over a stream! (just kidding) Walking on a remnant of the original hand-laid Pali Trail. This was once the main thoroughfare for farmers bringing produce to the growing port of Honolulu. We actually did not make it all the way to the falls but turned around here at this little mini fall.
