We made our annual trip to Vancouver last week and it was a lot of fun! Eli was absolutely excited about the number of pillows in a hotel room and yes - the elevator! I love shopping and dining in Portland! we took the kids twice to a restaurant. THE HIGGINS in downtown was great, maybe a little too fancy for our kids (candles, white tableclothes and everyone in suits and ties) Eli wasn't quite seccessful with his request of a burger but we still had fun. The other night we tried Peruvian restaurant Andina. It was dynamic, live and the food was absolutely delicious! Sofia sat for over two hours in a high chair chewing on a lamb bone and blueberries while her parents and her brother indulged in variaty of tapas and great lamb. We finished with a lime cheese cake and ginger ice cream. Apart from fine dining we walked, shopped, visited a museum, played on a playgroung and lost few pounds in a gym.So much fun!
The Czech Republic with Kids
You hug your husband very tight at Paris' Airport. And while he flies back to the USA, you take your children home to the Czech Republic to visit babi and deda, cousins and family and everything feels okay because your God is bigger than your fears and worries and you are covered with faithful prayers of your family and friends. And the things you do at home are awesome. You walk a dog every day. Twice a day. Three times a day. And you cannot wait to do it again the next day. Because you are THREE and you LOVE dogs. And you hold your grandparents hand and it feels so much better than looking at them through cold computer screen. And you are 12 and you get to ride a go cart out in the field. And give your little sister a ride, too. Because you are "da man" when daddy is not around. And you are 9 and get to ride a four wheeler all by yourself and pass everyone on the track, older cousin included! Because you are totally fearless and
I love Portland and haven't been there in too long! Portland has the best food too. Glad you had a fun time! :)
